Jiejie had completed another wushu test in March 2011.
She passed it! She then elevated to another class... grade 2, I suppose. I didn't ask much. Just too happy to know that she is elevated:).
Many asked us why Jiejie is attending wushu. Well, she didn't choose it. It was our intention to enroll her, so that the exercise will help to build her confidence level, train her discipline and hopefully, strengthen her health and self-defence.
But as of now, baby steps, for us and for her. It will be a long way for her to learn the techniques and approaches.
The centre conducts the test bi-yearly, just to see the students' proficiency level of wushu. Jiejie had been through the test twice (first test was in 2010), hence she had fun than stress this time.
Besides what is shown below, she also required to do side split, frontal split (both left and right), back arch, vertical jump and shuttle run.
She is attending wushu here.

ReplyDeleteHow old is HY btw?
many said learning wushu is really good for the kids. at what age is best to start our kids on wushu?
ReplyDelete4? The wushu center accepting kids from 4 onwards. I reckon it is pretty much on depends on individual kids, like level of concentration and interest. Parents encouragement on kids is a factor too. Normally kids has high interest in most enrichment lessons, cause they see it as new exploration or new learning. you interested to enroll the boys?
