Invariably, walking in a very dense city is an interesting thing to do. Imagine every few steps of walk, there is things to see, to touch, to hear, even to smell. Evidently, my girls enjoyed very much from the very eventful stretch from The Rocks to Opera House, through Circular Quay. No second of dullness, no ground to throw a fuss.
And me, thinking far and deep when looking at Harbour Bridge and the people up there. If I ever have the courage to go up?
Beauty of bringing kids along for traveling.
Another installation of Vivid Sydney. Light Feature No. 7: Possible Imprints. Some of the tubes are movable, she saw, she touched, she asked...
Anyway, walking got a little challenging after few days. We took Sydney Explorer to hopped on and off. Oh, it was not an attractive deal, but we figured kids would overjoyed with the ride and elderly would be less confused and tired. If you must know, AUS$205 for 3 Adults, 1 Child (Bomber is below 5) and 2 Seniors.
You can check out the tour pricing here. Or if you intend to grab the 24 hours Sydney Explorer for a group like us(customize product, in this case), try the computation here and get a estimate cost before you decide to sign up the tour.
Everyone, here's the world's first cantilevered sky garden-
Good thing is that, I also witnessed how one major landmark in the heart of the city, is being carefully (and aesthetically) care of. This is Sydney Town Hall(below), a much loved heritage building and a popular cultural venue, undergoing an upgrading work...
If you want to explore Sydney's sights with local tour guide, join "I'm Free Tours" at the anchor beside the Sydney Town Hall at 10.30am or 2.30pm, daily.
We didn't have time to re-visit the splendid QVB (Queen Victoria Building), which was originally designed and built in the late nineteenth-century. But we passed by and said "Hello"...
While we were at the upper deck of the bus, I was holding the camera and tried my hand on catching the bright happy sun between the buildings...
After lunch in Sydney Fish Market, we walked leisurely along Pyrmount Bridge Road toward Bank Street, heading to Darling Harbour...
While wandering the place (a place that has too much to explore), the girls saw this kiddy train, wanted to ride on it.
Kids, never have enough of choo-choo train and well, I usually the nicest mum during traveling...
And playground! Have you been to Tumbalong Park? It is a newly renovated park with a quirky playground. It was a lake when I was there 5 years ago. Today, it is a mega playground surrounded by a variety of eateries such as Starbucks, McDonald and what not.
Obviously, this is marked as a place to re-visit too. If we ever coming back to Sydney soon...

When the sky turned dark slowly, we were told that, there was Vivid Aquatic at the Cockle Bay Wharf.
So we bought an ice cream, waited patiently for the show...
It was wonderful.
It was magical!
Sydney has its utmost charms at this time of the year. Every year!
Admittedly, we did not have enough of Sydney.
Love the photos you took! I miss Sydney (was there on honeymoon!), and would love to bring the kids to see this beautful place. :)
ReplyDeleteWell, thank you Klessis. Coming from a advanced photographer=), I'm flattered. Go start planning your visit to Sydney with the kids^^.
ReplyDeleteWah since when am I an advanced photographer?! =P You flatter me! Thanks for inspiring me to plan a sydney trip. Haha!
DeleteI love the photos too! They make me wanna visit Sydney, just that my baby still cannot walk!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
Sometime I think, this is the best time to travel! Y'know, just put her in the stroller and you walk, you see and you enjoy;).
DeleteWe did that in Brisbane, though my first born was already over 1;).
I also want to bring my kids to Sydney! Btw we found the iVenture card quite a good deal if you want to visit a fee (or over 40??) attractions. We bought ours cheaper from a local travel agency
ReplyDeleteI have a peek into the website, looks very attractive. But gotto plan wisely on the trip itinerary, pick the attractions (in advance) from the 40 listed places, so that maximize the value of the ticket (Cheena a-soh speaking here).
DeleteMaybe next trip! haa, Thanks for sharing!!!
I was so excited to see very good deals to Sydney from Scoot. The last time I went was almost 10 years ago. But I missed the opportunity to tour around and will be sure to check out the places you mentioned.
ReplyDeleteLooks like it is a great deal, Susan! Go! *Now I am itchy hearted*
