As the year is approaching to its end, I am looking back at
my grand-list that I wrote in February. Thankfully, most are stroke off from the list:-
- My family and I had a remarkable trip to UK. But I only manage to complete blogging on Scotland.
- I learn and relearn about my first born. I mellow my approach on her, I try to focus on life skill than academic. I need to learn to embrace her.
- I have been attending Yoga/Pilates classes regularly since the very beginning of the year. I no longer breathless when I climb more than 2 flights of stairs.
- I cook more, bake even more!
- I maybe scrapbook lesser but hey, I blog more too, thanks to the inspiration from our visit to Scotland.
I think I have an optimum year!

- The fabric for the slipcover for the poang chairs is still inside the cabinet ;(. I did some other sewing though.
- I did not make it for blood donation as I wished to. I had a very serious influenza in April, lungs were infected and could not eat well. Since then my weight has dropped and I have been relying on inhaler to reduce coughing.
Hence, I will make these into my next year’s things to accomplish ;).
As for work, I will be resuming to full time next year. SC agrees to take more of my load from home-ground. We talked to the girls as well, Jiejie will learn to be more independent whilst the littlest will begin to learn of her maturity and less clingy to me. I promise them if things don't work out well, I will revert to working part time. I said it to HR and my boss as well. Right now, we are all doing the adjustment- I wake up much earlier to prepare the dinner for the day and then leave home earlier too, let the big guy handle the two princesses before he starts his day. I don't feel happy with more time working but with more income and more annual leaves given, I hope to get more day-off and spend quality time with the girls (right now, my leaves are all conserved for holiday travelling and critical emergency for the kids).
All in all, finger crossed for a better year ahead.

Yay to pilates! Your photos of Scotland are lovely! Envy! Hope one day will be my turn!
ReplyDeleteYou will! It worth the long haul;).
DeleteI've just returned from a week's road trip round Scotland so had to have a quick look at your Scottish posts to see where you went. We were so lucky with the weather for our trip but Scotland is fabulous even when it's dreich (very useful Scottish word for very typical Scottish weather!)

I learn something new from you!
DeleteSimilarly, I love reading about Scotland from others as well, more so after our visit;). Will pop by your blog more!
I hope you've already been able to achieve some of your aims for 2016. Thanks for linking up to the new #MondayEscapes. I'm looking forward to hearing more about your travels in the coming weeks
ReplyDeleteI hope so too! As for now I am catching up all the backlog in the blog, hahaa...
DeleteYou make me want to go for Yoga / Pilates class because I feel breathless after climbing two flights of stairs. :p #MondayEscapes
ReplyDeleteGo go go! Routine has keep me very busy and away from exercising, but having been attending weekly class helps. I like it, especially seeing myself getting better & stamina, in a slow pace though.
